A re-design of Philip K. Dick’s novel ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’.
This novel suggests that empathy is humanity’s defining trait, and is what ultimately differentiates humans from the emotionally detached android. With this in mind, my redesign of the novel’s cover and internal layout is inspired by catalogues. The catalogue on the re-designed cover features details from ‘Sydney’s Animal & Fowl Catalogue’, a make-belief animal catalogue that is mentioned within the story.
